Sebastian and Naela's Second Blog

Agenda  take a minute blog/corrections week 8: Question, Song SCHOOL TRIP  ACE HW Read The Outsiders  book pages 1-84 by Monday. After the bell rang, we came into our fifth period class, sat down, and took out our binder reminders to write down our daily agenda. While writing, Ms. Nakada put on the take a minute, and Ms. Nakada gave us The Outsiders book. Then, Ms. Nakada called on Anibal to read his blog. Anibal read his blog and Ms. Nakada started to do blog corrections. After we were down writing our agenda, Ms. Nakada told us to take out our English notebooks out.  After, we turned to page 13 of our notebooks and started to write and think about this weeks question which is ''How can daily life spark creativity?'' Soon after, we shared our answers with Ms. Nakada. Then, we moved on and listened to this weeks song which is ''Immigrants (we can get the job done)'' made by K'naan, feat. Anibal and Mateo's Second Blog

AGENDA take a minute blog / corrections week 8: Grammar Quote SCHOOL TRIP  A.C.E HW: Read The Outsiders P. 1-84 by Monday. We all walked into class we then sat on our seats then took our agendas out and wrote down what was on the board. After we were done writing, Ms. Nakada told Valeria and Emilie to come up to present their blog. Then, once they finished reading their blog, Ms. Nakada asked them who they would like to pick and Valeria chose Anibal and Anibal chose Mateo to help him with the blog. After, we both went up to start working on the blog. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to take our English books out to take notes about School Tri p. We then started taking notes on the book. After we were done, Ms. Nakada passed out the ACE to get started on. Then the bell rang, and we all packed up and left the class.

Valeria and Emilie's Second Blog

 AGENDA  Take-a-minute  Blog/Corrections Week 7: Quiz School Trip   A.C.E HW: Finish book by Monday 9/29! The bell rang, we walked into class and got seated. Everyone took out their binder reminders and started writing the agenda. After we took a minute, Iris and Jazlyn went up and read their Blog. They read their blog, and after we did blog corrections, Jazlyn and Iris picked Valeria to do the next blog. Valeria picked Emilie to do the blog with her. Then, we went over the notes for the test that we were about to take. During the test, Ms. Nakada checked the class' binder reminder so they can get a full ten points. After everyone finished their test, Ms. Nakada gave us some time to finish our  School Trip ACE. Then, the ball rang and we all left for our sixth period. 

Jazlyn and Iris's Second Blog

 AGENDA take a minute blog / corrections  week 7: Lines School Trip  A.C.E HW: Finish books by Monday 9/29 The students lined up next to the door, waiting for Ms. Nakada to open the door. As they waited, they  saw Ms. Nakada and Ms. Everts walking down the hall. Soon after, Ms. Nakada got to the classroom door and opened it so the students could go in. Afterwards, they sat in their seats. Some kids took out their  binder reminders to write the agenda down. As the bell rang, the other kids took out their binder reminders and English notebooks. Afterwards, Ms. Nakada played a video to calm us down.  Then, Kelly and Rosy read their blog. After, Kelly picked Jazlyn to do the blog. Jazlyn picked Iris to help her. After, Ms. Nakada and the students did the blog corrections. They started to open their notebook to write week 7:lines.  Agenda  Take a minute Blog / corrections Week 7: Song Book Project  Gallery Walk HW: Finish books by Monday 9/29! The bell rang, we took out our Agendas and began to write it down. After, Janet and Ella read their blog, and Ms. Nakada made corrections. After Janet and Ella finished, they decided to pick Kelly, and she asked Rosy to help her.  Later on, we opened up our English notebooks, and wrote down this week's song "La Bamba" by Los Lobos from the movie " La Bamba" about Ritchie Valens. Then, Ms. Nakada passed out a sheet of paper for our Book Projects. After, Ms. Nakada drew a timeline of School Trip for those who haven't finished their Book Projects. Later on, the bell rang, and we packed up and got ready to leave for sixth period.  Thank you!

Ella and Janet's Second Blog

   Agenda Take a minute blog/corrections Week 7:Grammar-Quote-Question School Trip ACE Reader's/Writer's workshop  HW: Finish books by Monday 9/28. The bell rang. We got into class, and we got our agendas out. Afterwards, Jimmy and Keller read their blog. Once they finished reading their blog, they picked Ella and Ella picked Janet to help her with the blog. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to take out our English notebooks, and we started to do our week 7: Grammar-Quote-Question. After doing our grammar, we started to do our quote and then our Question. After the Grammar-Quote-Question notes, we started to do the School Trip ACE notes. Then, the bell rang, and we packed and left. Thank You.

Jimmy and Keller's Blog

AGENDA Take a minute blog/corrections Week 6: Quiz SCHOOL   TRIP  ACE Reader's/ Writer's workshop HW: Read another 100 pages of your book by Monday 9/22. Book projects due Wednesday! The bell rang, and we went into class and sat down. Next, everyone took out their binder reminders and started to write the agenda.  Afterwards, Chad and Micheal went up to read their blog. When they were done, they picked Jimmy. Jimmy picked Keller to come and help him. Then, Ms. Nakada started to do the corrections for the blog. After, we took our notebooks and started to study for the quiz. Then, Ms. Nakada told everybody to take out their chromebooks and start the quiz. Next, we took out our notebooks again to write down some  School   Trip  notes. The bell rang, and we left.

Chad and Michael's Second Blog

 Agenda Take a minute blog/corrections week 6: Lines School Trip  ACE Readers/Writers workshop  HW Read another 100 pages  of your book by Monday 9/22. After the lunch bell rang, we went to our fifth period. As we entered the class, Ms. Nakada greeted us, and we sat down. We took out our binder reminders and wrote down the agenda. After that, Vlada and Natalie read their blog. Afterwards, the class took out their English notebooks and started to write everything down that Ms. Nakada told us to. Next, we took out our SCHOOL TRI P books and started recapping and writing down stuff in the book. After we were done, Ms. Nakada told us we won pizza for everyone being here. Then, the bell rang, and we went on to our 6th period.

Vlada and Natalie's Second Blog

AGENDA: take a minute blog/corrections week 6 question School Trip The bell rang. The whole class came in and took out their binder reminders and wrote down the agenda. Michael and Rodrigo read their blog. Then, Ms. Nakada did the blog corrections. Next, Michael and Rodrigo picked Vlada and Vlada picked Natalie to help her. After that, we took out our notebooks and started writing down the question "what are some ways to celebrate Latin Heritage Month?" After that, we did the chapter two School Trip  or any chapter prompt you confused about and wrote it down on a piece of paper. Everyone started writing it all down quietly. We started packing up, when everyone was done. Then, the bell rang, and we went to the next class.

Michael and Rodrigo's Second Blog

 AGENDA take a minute blog/corrections week 6 grammar school trip book projects. HW: Read 100 pages of a book of your choice by Monday 9/22. The class took out their binder reminders and wrote down the daily agenda. Andy and Alex read the blog and after they read the blog they picked Michael and Rodrigo. After that, the class took out their English notebooks and wrote down "Book Projects." This week we are learning about complex sentences. After, we watched a clip of Sesame Street and got our quote from there. The quote said "Orgulloso means proud in Spanish." After, we started to talk about our book projects and how many we will have over the whole year. We will have four of those projects. After, we pack up and left.

Alex and Andy's Second Blog

AGENDA Take a minute blog / correction. Week 5 Quiz  The bell rang. We sat down and took out our binder reminders and wrote the agenda. Then, Ayoob and Chris went up to read their blog, and after they read their blog they choose Andy and Alex to do the next blog. Next, we started to read School Trip  and wrote down notes on our English books. Then, Ms. Nakada passed out the visual prompt, and she went over it and explained it to the class. Then, Ms. Nakada told us a story about how a grocery store security thought that she stole a banana for breakfast when she was going to a volleyball game, but then then coach showed the security guard all the food. After that, she told us to take out our computers to do our quiz. Finally, we packed up to leave. Then, the bell rang and class ended.  Bye Thanks

Ayoob and Christopher's Second Blog

Take a minute Blog/corrections week 5: Lines School Trip / reader's workshop HW read 100 pages of a book of your choice by Monday 9/15. We first entered the classroom a little bit late, because Ms. Nakada came in a little late. After we entered the classroom, we took out our binder reminders and wrote down the agenda. Then, Ms. Nakada put on take a minute on the big screen. Ms. Nakada told us to take out our English note books. Micheal read the blog and he chose Ayoob and Ayoob chose Chris to help him. Then, afterwards, we wrote down stuff in our English notebooks. After we were done we packed up to go to the book fair, and we went. We came back from the book fair, and we came in and took out our English note books to take notes on School Trip . Then, the bell rang, and we packed up and left.

Keller and Micheal's blog

Agenda take a minute blog corrections week 5 song School Trip  / readers workshop HW: Read 100 pages of a book by Monday.  The bell rang. Then, everyone sat down in their chairs, took out our books, and waited for Jimmy to read the blog. After he read the blog, he picked Keller. Keller picked Micheal to help. Then, we listened to a French song, and we wrote about the song. After, we started taking notes about School Trip . Then, the bell rang.

Agenda Take a minute  Blog/Corrections  Week 5: Question School Trip /Ind. Reading Plan HW: Read 100 pages of a book of your choice by Monday 9/15. We came into class and sat in our seats. When we sat down in our seats, everybody took out their notebooks and started to write the agenda. After, Ms. Nakada read Tjay's blog because he went to the nurse. Then, Ms. Nakada took out her notebook and let people copy who were doing the I-ready test yesterday. Afterwards, Ms. Nakada told everybody to take out their notebooks and write what she was writing. Then, the bell rang and everybody left.

 take a minute Blog corrections  Week 4 Quiz Grammar-Qoute SCHOOL TRIP Read 100 pages of a book of your choice by Monday 9/15 The bell rang, and we all came into class. W all took out our agendas, and Sebastian and Daniella read their blog. After, Ms. Nakada and the class did blog corrections together. Next, Chris and Mateo read the blog for Chris because he had to finish a test. After Mateo read, Tjay had to come and do the blog. Tjay went up to the front desk to start on his blog. Then, Ms. Nakada started on the Quiz.  Then we did grammar: sentence study part II. We looked at sentence types: simple and compound sentence. We looked at how a comma + a conjunction can connect two independent clauses. The quote was "In France, we work in order to live. But in America, it seems you live in order to work" (149). Chris's And Mateo's Blog

 Take a minute blog / corrections A.C.E SCHOOL TRIP HW Enjoy the weekend! We first lined up at the door, and Mr. Daza let us in the room. We walked in, and Mr. Daza had us take out our binder reminders and write down the agenda. Then, Ms. Nakada came into the room and put on take a minute on the big screen. Next, Daniella and Sebastian read their own blog. Then, we took out our English notebooks, and we wrote in the table of contents "A.C.E. ". We wrote in our books about A.C.E. and wrote down the meaning of it. After that, we took out the book and reviewed it. We all then took out our Chromebooks, and took the Week 4 Quiz, but Ms. Nakada made a mistake on the quiz and told us we will retake it on Monday. After, we all left class to go home.

Sebastian and Daniella's First Blog

 AGENDA take a minute blog/corrections week 4: Question, Song, Lines SCHOOL TRIP  Quiz #2  HW: Finish SCHOOL TRIP  by Friday! After coming from lunch, we came to class, sat down, and took out our binder reminders to write the daily agenda. After that, Ms. Nakada told Anibal to read his blog. He read his blog, and sat back down in his seat after reading. Then, Ms. Nakada told Anibal to choose who would do the next blog. Then, he chose Sebastian, and Sebastian told Ms. Nakada if it was ok to let Daniella join him with writing the blog. Daniella agreed to do the blog with Sebastian. After that, Ms. Nakada started to do blog corrections from Anibal's work. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to turn to page six of our English notebooks where the week 4: Grammar, Quote, Question, Song, Lines are located. Ms. Nakada then told us the question which was ''What is your history as a reader?'' We wrote our answers, then shared our answers with Ms. Nakada. Then, we headed on to our song...

AGENDA take a minute  blog - corrections Week 4: Grammar, Quote SCHOOL TRIP HW: Finish School Trip by Friday.  We all walked into class and sat on our seats. We all then took out our agendas and started to write the agenda. Then, Ms. Nakada asked Emile and Valeria to come up and present their blog. They then came up and presented the blog. After they finished presenting, Ms. Nakada told them to pick on someone to come and do the blog. Then, Emilie picked on Anibal to do the blog. After she picked on Anibal to do the blog, he walked to go sit in front to start working on the blog. After, Ms. Nakada told everyone to take out their English notebooks to take notes about Class Act . We then took notes of what Ms. Nakada told us to take notes on.  AGENDA  Take-a-minute      Blog/Corrections  Week 3: Quiz      Binder Check  HW: Read p. 100-185 of School Trip  by Tuesday. As the bell rang, the whole class came in and sat down. As everyone sat down, they all took out their Agendas. Ms. Nakada checked everyone's agendas to make sure they had everything written down. After that, Jazlyn and Iris went up and read their blog. Right after they finished reading their blog, they picked Valeria, and she picked Emile to do the blog with her. After that, everyone took out their English notebooks and their Chromebooks and took a quiz. After the quiz, the bell rang, and everyone packed up to leave for the sixth period.  Thank you
